Overview:

Emerging data on the long-term sequelae after COVID-19 suggests that many patients suffer from persistent and relapsing symptoms including mobility problems, dyspnea, and fatigue. It is likely that these patients will benefit from a rehabilitation intervention. This approach is actually recommended by the World Health Organization.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

  1. Cite emerging data on the long-term sequelae after COVID-19
  2. Describe preliminary evidence on the trajectory of functional recovery after hospitalization for COVID-19
  3. Describe the international guidance on rehabilitation in the post-acute phase
  4. Identify tools and strategies for assessing and rehabilitating patients after COVID-19
